My sister Rhonda was born in 1949 in Scranton, PA. She spent the early part of her childhood travelling with my parents all over the country as my Dad played for several different major league baseball teams. Fluent in Spanish by age five, she got to see many different areas of our country as well as Venezuela and meet all kinds of people. Once grown she was a Jacqueline of All Trades – from “stewardess” for United to retail clothing store maven to teacher at the N.C. School for the Deaf, she has tried many different careers. Finally finding her niche in real estate, she has settled in Wilmington, NC. Not one to let a single trend pass her by, one of her style masterpieces was her wedding to husband Jim, which was done in an old theatre, complete with actors portraying old movie stars, tickets, and even an reception styled as the Oscars. She even had the Gone With The Wind movie poster recreated with her and husband-to-be Jim’s faces in place of Scarlett and Rhett. it was all a nod to Jim’s great grandmother who acted in silent movies in the 1920′s with Harold Lloyd and Buster Keaton. Rhonda’s dress was a form fitted navy sequined number, yet not finding a hat to match, her solution was to spray paint one!
